Where The Neighborhood Slows Down

An extension of MET Glodok’s cultural practice is our weekend café—a third space where conversations unfold and connections are formed over good bites and shared moments. Tucked within the vibrant alleys of Glodok, the space offers a slower rhythm amidst the neighbourhood’s hustle and bustle.

Enjoy a selection of signature sandwiches and pastries crafted by our F&B partner, LIT Bakehouse—an artisan community bakery rooted in Glodok. Our beverage selection features quality coffee and herbal drinks alike, offering a moment of refreshment as you explore the neighborhood.

Visitors are welcome to peruse our small on-site bookshelf, featuring titles on art, design, and Chinese-Indonesian history and culture, or explore our shopfront of curated merchandise, including art prints, books, and apparel.

Our semi-outdoor space invites you to pause and linger. The front patio faces the street, offering a relaxed setting to observe the rhythms of the neighbourhood. Toward the back, an open backyard provides a quieter room for reflection and intimate conversations. Natural cross-ventilation allows light and air to move freely throughout, creating a comfortable and unhurried atmosphere.

Artisanal Offerings:
Our Partnership with LIT Bakehouse

Our pastries and signature sandwiches are crafted by LIT Bakehouse, an artisanal community bakery rooted in Glodok.

Founded and led by Lalita Setiandi, LIT Bakehouse offers a contemporary interpretation of French patisserie, crafted to be enjoyed as part of everyday life. Grounded in French techniques while embracing local culture and seasonality, their creations are refined yet approachable.

As our F&B partner, LIT Bakehouse creates the pastries and signature puff pastry sandwiches served at our café, using fresh, high-quality ingredients and baking each item with care at their bakery just a few minutes away.

Inspired by a family trip to Paris, our signature sandwiches pair delicate, flaky puff pastry with thoughtfully crafted fillings. Whether you’re in the mood for a not-too-sweet dessert or a savoury snack, they are perfect to enjoy with loved ones.
